The Rattle Reel
This is my performance I staged earlier this year in late April in Bournemouth Town Center. It consists of myself standing on top of a plinth shadow boxing, with two boxing gloves linked via a metal chain, whilst blindfolded. None of the public knew about the performance prior to its staging. In the performance I focused on issues concerning social ideals; in particular inner-male conflict and male insecurities of their own image. I also wanted to explore the identification of art within public and questioning how we label aesthetics as art.
